Hey, my name is Lily and i’m a third year Interior Design student at the University of Gloucestershire. My goals as a designer are to use sustainable materials to create beautiful coastal creations. I hope to design spaces that are better for our earth. I aim to use my experience i’ve gained and knowledge i’ve learnt to turn spaces into places where people can feel relaxed and enjoy their surroundings.

My interest for Interior Design started when I was younger. I always wanted to do it but felt I couldn’t as it wasn’t at my schools or college. It was when I was able to come to University that my interest in Interior Design could fully blossom. I have a love for the ocean and nature, I think it is beautiful. I fell into coastal design and felt this was a way forward. I created some coastal designed projects like a boathouse and a boutique hotel. I later realised that I enjoy working with sustainable materials as these are important to our world. I became to understand the impact that waste has on the earth and our wildlife and decided that I wanted to help design in ways that wouldn’t tear down our environment, but make something long lasting, durable and eco friendly.
